Message When you accelerate, the gears engage. When you decelerate, they disengage. The springs in a clutch hub act much like a shock absorber so that the transition between is much smoother.

As far as your stock clutch, if it is in good shape, and will hold whatever HP you are putting out, it will eliminate the noise.
